What to practice for your wedding day
Do we need to practice anything before our wedding day? Personally, I would!
I wouldn’t put it as another thing to add to your Wedding TO-DO list by any means but I’d suggest you practice a few things.
The Twirl - Practice the twirl in the kitchen when you’re making dinner together! This is something every couple gets a bit tripped up on during video/photos but it ALWAYS makes for some epic shots! (Plus it’s super easy)
The Dip - The dips are either effortless or a struggle, sometimes it comes down to not trusting your partner not to drop you! But practice the dip and make sure you two are comfortable with it because it makes for a super dreamy shot at the end of the aisle after you’ve said your I Dos!
Lifts - We are not talking Dirty Dancing moves here (Unless you’re game for that!). A simple lifting up around the waist and under her butt to a cute kiss is always fun and easy. You can practice scooping your bride up off her feet and spinning her around for a kiss. Anything you two come up with will not be unappreciated by me or your photographer! PS. Take into account your dress when finding fun lifts to practice for your wedding day, keep it practical so we don’t have any accidental tears!!
First Dance - This seems like a simple task to slow dance with your partner to “your song” but once you’re in front of all your family and friends you might resort to the awkward rocking back and forth in one place movement. MAKE IT FUN! Newsflash: most people aren’t phenomenal dancers and no I’m not saying you have to choreograph the dance. However, dance to the song together a few times in your living room and see where you can add in a fun twirl, dip, or spin in and out of your partner’s arms. Maybe if you’re feeling crazy you can do a lift somewhere! Make it your thing and you’ll thank yourselves later when you rewatch the video!
